The Confidante

If you prefer ocean and sand instead of poolside, The Confidante is located on Miami Beach. There’s no need to drive to the beach just put on your cute swimwear and walk on over.

I adored these hooks inside of the room. I can imagine that these hooks normally have towels and bathing suits hanging from them. However, since Carvella’s Closet travels with vintage the hooks were filled with shiny party dresses and vintage purses.

It wouldn’t be Miami if it didn’t rain right? These plants surround The Confidante. The plant on the right is a baby palm tree.

The furniture in the lobby of The Confidante reflect the Miami Beach plant life.

The furniture inside the room of The Confidante had a vintage feel to it. The ambience of the room was definitely complimentary to the vintage accessories of Carvella’s Closet.

This article is dedicated to my love for hats. Featured here are some of the hats I keep in rotation during the colder months; which includes a beret, a fedora and a fitted cap.

As the temperatures get colder we find ourselves trading our straw brims for hats that keep us feeling cozy.

For this style inspiration post the hats featured are my “go to” accessory. They pair well with my fall/winter wardrobe, which consists of more denim and blazer combinations.

All hats featured here for style inspiration are unisex. So the versatility is limitless. I can easily go from work wardrobe to chill wardrobe.

Speaking of limitless versitility, I’ll close this post out with an additional look at how I styled the red beret.

I have definitely worn more fanny packs this spring/summer versus crossbody bags. How about you?

I will say they are perfect for travel. They don’t weigh much. They are large enough to hold the essentials. Not to mention there are some really fashion forward options available.

The featured images highlight 2 fanny packs that I wear again and again. The white fanny pack is super roomy and see through. The lavendar fanny pack is compact and structured.

Today we came together to have a fashion show. The host and co-host stand in solidarity. With one another and the community.

No cover charge for the audience. We only asked that they donate school supplies to give to the children at the show.

Fashion Pallet Project

To the left of my arm are pallets. They’ve been discarded by a local business. They’re FREE!

We’re using them to construct a runway for an upcoming fashion show.

Fashion is definitely one of those industry that could do much better with regards to sustainability. With that in mind (and our budget), we’re sourcing reclaimed wood.

Travel in NYC

I’ll keep this NYC travel tip short yet sweet. A durable tote is the way to go. It’s not about having the latest “it bag.” It’s about being able to stash your phone, umbrella and cardigan- or retrieve it.

It’s also a cool way to support your favorite Manhattan coffee shop.
